Kappa Delta Kaddyshack Golf Tournament to Benefit PCCT

Many people believe that child abuse isn’t a serious problem or that it doesn’t concern them. They are wrong. Once every minute, a child somewhere is abused or neglected. Nationally, there are approximately 1,400 fatalities a year due to child abuse or neglect.

Screen Shot 2015-07-31 at 11.13.20 AMToday you have an incredible opportunity to make a lasting impact on the future by standing with Kappa Delta to eradicate child abuse in our country. This year, the Kappa Delta chapter at the University of Tulsa will host an inaugural Golf Tournament, Kappa Delta Kaddyshack on Saturday, October 10th. This event is Kappa Delta’s effort to bring awareness for the prevention of child abuse through the Parent Child Center of Tulsa and Prevent Child Abuse America (PCAA) in the Tulsa Community.

You can help make a difference in the lives of children by being a sponsor for Kappa Delta Kaddyshack. Sponsorship comes in many different forms, and that’s where we need you! We have three levels of sponsorship—Emerald ($50), Pearl ($150), and Diamond ($300). Each of these different levels of sponsorship include different packages of representation at our event. For further information about these sponsorship levels, please review the sponsorship information that is included. Other donations will also be appreciated. Your support will allow us to host a fantastic golf tournament and raise money for a local organization. If you would like to register a team please fill out the form at or email for more information.

Preventing child abuse may seem like a huge undertaking, but today, you can make a difference. There are many ways you can help us raise awareness for the Parent Child Center of Tulsa. If you would like to participate as a sponsor, in our shotgun style tournament or make a monetary or in-kind donation, we would appreciate it greatly. Anything and everything will help to make a difference today. We have even made it easy to make a monetary donation via our Bill Highway website at Or, if you prefer, you can write a check made payable to Kappa Delta. Before mailing the check, please be sure to write “KD Kaddyshack” in the memo line.

Our goal is to raise a total of $5,000 for the prevention of child abuse. Eighty percent of the funds raised will stay right here in our community to fund the incredible work being done by The Parent Child Center of Tulsa. The remaining 20 percent will go to PCAA – the leading advocate for preventing child abuse and neglect among our nation’s children since 1972. Since adopting child abuse prevention as a national philanthropy in 1983, Kappa Delta has raised nearly $10 million nationally for this important cause. With your help, we can continue to make an impact on the lives of children in our community and nationwide.

Thank you very much for your time. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for information about contributions. We look forward to working with you to prevent child abuse, and we greatly appreciate your support.
