The Parent Child Center of Tulsa Announces New President and CEO

Tulsa, OK, January 2, 2018 – The Parent Child Center of Tulsa’s (PCCT) Board of Directors has chosen Regina Moon as the agency’s new President and CEO.

“The board of directors is extremely pleased to announce Regina Moon as the new President and CEO of our agency.  She is an outstanding nonprofit executive and the right choice to take The Parent Child Center of Tulsa into a new era,” said Carole Huff Hicks, PCCT Board Chairman. “She has the proven executive leadership skills to address our agency’s growth and key partnerships.   She passionately cares about our mission of preventing child abuse and neglect, and we look forward to having her at the helm of The Parent Child Center of Tulsa.”

Regina Moon’s resume includes more than 20 years of executive-level experience in strategic planning, operations, administration, revenue-generation, communications and marketing experience in the media and nonprofit sectors.  She has served as executive staff for the local American Red Cross since 2009.  Prior to that, she served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Griffin Communications, KOTV-Channel 6, in Tulsa.

Moon received the Rotary Club of Tulsa’s “2016 Rotarian of the Year” award, serves on the steering committee of the Tulsa Area United Way Women’s Leadership Council, and was the Tulsa Area United Way’s Campaign Non-Profit Division Chair. She is a Rogers State University Public Television Advisory Board Member, and has served as an Appointee on the Mayor’s Commission on Public Safety.

“The staff of The Parent Child Center of Tulsa are highly respected and expert in their field. I’m thrilled to join them in their worthy work,” said Regina Moon. “Our vision is that all parents have the knowledge and skills to protect, nurture, and provide for their own child. In attaining this goal, we can prevent child abuse and neglect.”

Moon is acutely aware of the budget challenges The Parent Child Center of Tulsa faces. In November of 2017 due to state budget issues, the agency lost a $444,000 Oklahoma State Department of Health contract to provide the Parents as Teachers home visiting program.

“These are challenging times and we are fortunate to have a deeply-committed Board and strong team working to remedy the financial situation.  I look forward to convening the community and building relationships that will continue to create awareness and support,” said Moon.

The Parent Child Center of Tulsa is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect through education, treatment, and advocacy. PCCT is a Tulsa Area United Way Partner Agency, and is accredited by the Council on Accreditation.
